Village clean-up

Many thanks to the 20 people who helped picking up litter in Blackshaw Head on 8th April. Also thanks to everyone serving tea, coffee and cakes afterwards in the Chapel and to the cake makers: Dot, Edith and Laura. Special thanks to the Chapel for letting us use their building as HQ and café for the morning and to Phil for getting all the necessary equipment ready for the day. BEAT bought 20 litter pickers (£69) and ten garden gloves (£10) - to be used for future village clean-ups. The next village clean-up will be in October.

There was more litter this time than usual. The picture only shows some of it as some of the litter was brought to the collectors' houses - like the whole of litter from Long Causeway is not on the picture.
